About Zoë Ligon

Zoë Ligon is a sex educator, writer and artist, and the founder of Spectrum Boutique, a sex-positive online toy store based in Detroit that stocks only body-safe products. A peer educator rather than a clinician, she is known for a frank, practical approach to sex toys, anatomy and pleasure.

She is the co-author, with photographer Elizabeth Renstrom, of Carnal Knowledge: Sex Education You Didn’t Get in School (Prestel, 2020).

For b-Vibe, Zoë co-designed the Texture Plug collection with founder Alicia Sinclair. Seeing that the range was missing texture, she gave each plug its own sensation: dense bumps that massage the sphincter on the Bump, rope-like twists made for tugging on the Twist, and delicate ripples on the Swirl.
